On August 12th, The Institute of Policy Studies in Islamabad hosted a lecture and discussion on the theme of "Decolonial Muslim Studies" based on Tareen's book Defending Muhammad in Modernity where he was in conversation with Prof. Humeira Iqtidar of King's College London.
