Dr. Kamran Asdar Ali, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Critical Pakistan Studies, was recently featured in a video where he presented his aspirations for Critical Pakistan Studies to be a high-standard, first-rate, and top-tier interdisciplinary source of information on Pakistan. Critical Pakistan Studies is a new open-access journal published with the support of Cambridge University Press that tackles broader interdisciplinary issues in addition to Pakistan and Pakistanis.

AIPS Vice Presidential Election Results

AIPS is excited to share that Dr. Iqbal Singh Sevea of the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill has been elected the next AIPS Vice President! Dr. Sevea is currently an Associate Professor of History at UNC and has served as its institutional trustee to AIPS since 2013. His research focuses on modern Islam and modern South Asia. You can read more about Dr. Sevea’s research interests and publications at the UNC website. Iqbal was elected Vice President to replace Dr. Matthew A. Cook, who was recently elected AIPS President.
